How to complain to Business Energy Leads, including data protection complaints, how quickly we respond, and where to go next if we can't resolve it.
How to make a complaint
Tell us what happened, the contact details or order involved, and what outcome you would like.
Use the request form and select “Make a complaint”.
Email hello@businessenergylead.co.uk, call 07735 447845, or write to April Cottage, Ampney Crucis, Cirencester, GL7 5RZ.
How we respond
We acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and aim to give an outcome within 8 weeks.
We investigate, keep you updated and explain our outcome. If we cannot agree a resolution, we send a final response letter explaining our position and the relevant next steps.
Data protection complaints
Anyone can complain to us about personal data, not only customers. We acknowledge within two working days, keep you updated and explain the outcome.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), telephone 0303 123 1113, about data-protection issues.
A complaint about an energy broker
Start with the complaints process of the broker that contacted you. We are not responsible for the broker's prices or energy contract advice.
Eligible small businesses may then use that broker's redress scheme, such as the Energy Ombudsman or UIA, if the broker is a participating member and the issue is within the scheme's scope.
A complaint about an energy supplier
Complain to your supplier first about bills, supply or your energy contract. Eligible unresolved complaints can then go to the Energy Ombudsman.
For free advice, contact Citizens Advice. Ofgem regulates gas and electricity suppliers but does not handle individual complaints.
Our role
Business Energy Leads is not an energy supplier or broker and is not a member of the Energy Ombudsman scheme.
We generate enquiries for brokers and service providers. Complaints about our enquiry handling or data sharing should come to us; supplier and broker disputes follow their own processes.
